It's my first class — how do I get started?

Welcome! All students first register as a member for free (takes a minute). After that, there are three ways to start:

• Want to try one class first? Pick a class on the schedule and pay cash (credit card) for that single class — no package needed.
• Planning to come regularly? Buy a Credits package — packages include bonus Credits, so each class costs less on average.
• For kids: start with a trial class in our children's courses — see the Children's Programs page.

What are Credits and how do they work?

Credits are GLOWBE Dance's class-booking points. The Credits required per class depend on the class type and are shown clearly when you book; the value of each Credit is shown on the Packages page. Credits are deducted automatically at booking and refunded per our cancellation policy.

Question 3

When do Credits expire?

Accepted Answer

Credits expire according to the package you bought — the expiry date is shown clearly at purchase. Buy any new package before the expiry date and all your unexpired Credits are automatically extended to the new expiry date.

How do I buy a Credits package?

Accepted Answer

Visit the Packages page, choose a package, and click Buy. You'll be redirected to a secure payment page. Credits land in your account immediately upon successful payment.

Question 5

Can I pay cash for a single class?

Accepted Answer

Yes! On any class booking modal, you'll see a 'Pay HK$X cash for this class' option below the main Confirm button. Single classes are priced at 1 Credit = HK$10; packages include bonus Credits, so each class costs less on average. Perfect for first-time students.

Question 6

Do you offer a student discount?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Eligible students get −2 Credits per timetable Credit class:

• Age 13 or under: applied automatically
• Ages 14–21 full-time students: after uploading a valid student card
• Age 22 or above: not eligible

The discount applies to timetable Credit classes only — cash single classes and children's courses are excluded. Just fill in your date of birth / student status in account settings.

Question 7

What do I get for referring a friend?

Our opening referral promotion is on: when a friend signs up with your referral code, after their first package purchase you and your friend each get an extra 5% of that package's base credits. 'Base credits' means the credits listed on the package, excluding bonus credits. Find your personal code and the full rules on the Referral page.

How do training programmes work and how do I pay?

Training programmes are enrolled as a whole course and paid in one direct payment (Credits are not used). Enrolling means accepting all the course's sessions. Tuition is non-refundable once paid; if GLOWBE cancels a course, paid tuition is refunded in full, handled manually.

How do I cancel a booking? Will I get my Credits back?

Go to My Classes and tap Cancel on the class you no longer want.

• More than 5 hours before class: full Credit refund
• Within 5 hours of class: no refund

Please decide early to free up the spot for waitlisted students.

Question 10

How does the waitlist work?

Accepted Answer

When a class is full you can join the waitlist — the Credits needed are deducted right away when you join. If a spot opens up we email everyone on the waitlist at once; spots are first come, first served, so please confirm as soon as you can (deadline: 15 minutes after the class start time). If you don't get a spot, leave the waitlist, or miss the deadline, your Credits are automatically refunded in full.

Question 11

What if I'm late or miss the class?

Late arrivals within 15 minutes are welcome.

If you don't show up and don't cancel (No-show), we'll mark the booking after class ends and Credits won't be refunded. Three consecutive no-shows and we'll reach out to check in.

Question 12

What's the difference between Lv0, Lv1, and Lv2? Which class should I pick?

These levels are just a guide to help you find the pace that suits you best — they're not strict rules:

• Lv0: designed for total beginners, starting from the most basic steps and movement, so you won't be left behind.
• Lv1: you already have a little foundation and want to build on it with more combinations.
• Lv2: for taking on faster tempos and fuller choreography.

Some classes are marked Lv0-1 or Lv1-2 — the content spans two adjacent levels, ideal if you're transitioning between them.

Most importantly: even if you've never danced before and want to try a Lv2 class, you're just as welcome 🧡 Our teachers are used to guiding students of different levels in the same class and will meet you at your pace. What should I wear?

Comfortable activewear is fine. Contemporary: a looser fit is OK. Ballet typically wants leotard + tights, but beginners can start in regular activewear. Bare feet or dance shoes both fine indoors.

Can I join late?

Accepted Answer

You can join within the first 15 minutes. After that, for safety (insufficient warm-up risk) and to avoid disrupting others, the teacher may decline entry — Credits won't be refunded.

Are class recordings available?

Some teachers record their classes and upload them to your 'My Videos' library — booked students can rewatch anytime. Recording policies are per-teacher; the class description will note if recording is included.

Do you offer kids classes?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We offer children's dance courses (from age 3). Children's courses are enrolled as a course: start with a 'trial class', then pay the difference to upgrade to the 'full course' — the trial fee is fully credited only if you upgrade on the trial day itself. Payment is one-off and does not use Credits. Parents create a guardian account, add their child's details, and enrol on their behalf. See the Children's Programs page for details.

How do children's regular classes work?

Children's regular classes run in blocks of 8 sessions, completed within 10 weeks at a fixed weekly slot. If your child can't make a session, you can reschedule it yourself on the website to another same-level slot before it starts. Travelling or unwell mid-course? You can apply to freeze the course (HK$100 fee, up to 4 weeks) — contact us to arrange. Want to try first? Book a trial class, and upgrading to the full course on the trial day itself fully credits the trial fee.
